Ages 12-18
Directed by Sara Hackman

It’s the second year and we’re goin’ strong! Camp Lamar is ready to rid you of your summer blues and is kickin’ it into high gear! Get ready for an action packed, non-stop week of fun! Teen Challenge will combine adventure, crazy games, time with other people your age, extreme study of God’s word, and so much more. Get ready to get up close and personal with God. You won’t want to miss one of the most anticipated weeks of the summer; it’ll be a week you’ll never forget! Are you up for the challenge?

Activities

Camp activities include camp fires, chapels, crafts, personal and group devotion times, electives, free time, crazy and traditional field games, pool time, field trips, night games, picnics, rest time, theme days, water games, musical worship and much more!  These activities will occur in cabin groups, small and large groups, and as a whole camp.

Play an instrument? Are you a singer?  Bring it all!  We’ll need you for our youth worship band!  Have another talent?  Bring that too!  God has given each of us gifts to be used for His glory and we’ll explore those throughout the week.

Theme Days

Every day at camp will have a different theme.  Some of the meals and activities for each day will reflect that theme.  Make sure to bring your outfits to wear in the evening to match each theme!

Community Worship

There will be an open worship service on Friday, August 4 at 7:00 PM.  This service will be open to family, and friends of campers and staff and the whole community.  The dress is casual.  During this time we will be sharing a few camper, counselor testimonies, share some talents, enjoy a camp fire and worship through song and spoken word.  Please feel free to join us and bring friends; we’d love to have you!

Our Staff

Most of our staff is made up of volunteers, while some are paid, experienced campers.  All are required to go through our staff training and to have a letter of recommendation written by their pastor.  Our staff is comprised of people like YOU; parents, grandparents, college students, pastors, lay people… but they all have one thing in common:  They love God and they love young people!

Registration and Fees

A non-refundable registration fee of $35.00 (Register before June 1 and save $10.00) must accompany your registration form.  The total camp fee is $135.00 (includes registration fee) and includes all meals, lodging, instruction and activities.  The balance of the camp fee is due the day of arrival.  All campers receive a free Camp Lamar shirt!
