Sara Hackman
Lamar Lighthouse Camp's Camp Director
Sara is from State College, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Clarion Univeristy
of Pennsylvania with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. While in Clarion she has served on the ministry team
of Koinonia Christian Fellowship as both the Bible Study Coordinator and President, and volunteered as a youth worker at her
church.
No stranger to summer camp ministry, Sara has attended
various camps as a child, served as a Junior Counselor, Program Assistant, Counselor and Program Manager at a local Christian
summer camp. When asked about her camping experiences she replies, "I have some of my best memories from this very challenging
ministry opportunity. I truly believe that God touches young peoples' lives at Christian summer camps. It's a
unique environment where they can get away, have fun, play crazy games, meet other young people- some with similar backgrounds
and others with different backgrounds and experiences. It's amazing how campers are taught and discipled by mature Christians
at camp, but most importantly they are able to have a very real, personal encounter with our Creator."
Sara is looking forward to a wonderful second summer at Lamar Lighthouse
Camp.
